Troubleshooting Common Issues

  • Verify your server number and stream key are correct
  • Check the RTMP URL format: rtmp://pstnetserverNUMBER.shoutcastnet.com/live
  • Ensure your firewall allows RTMP (port 1935)
  • Test your internet connection (minimum 5 Mbps upload for 4000 kbps stream)
  • Contact support if server is inactive or suspended

  • Double-check your stream keys in the control panel - no extra spaces
  • YouTube: Wait 10-30 seconds after clicking "Go Live" for stream to appear
  • Twitch: Ensure you've created a stream title in your dashboard
  • Facebook: Verify you selected the correct page/profile for streaming
  • Re-save your configuration in the control panel
  • Try stopping and restarting your encoder

  • Lower your bitrate to 3000 kbps or 2500 kbps
  • Reduce resolution to 540p (960x540) if needed
  • Change encoder preset to "ultrafast" or "superfast"
  • Close bandwidth-heavy applications (downloads, uploads, other streams)
  • Use wired ethernet instead of WiFi
  • Check for ISP throttling or bandwidth caps

  • In OBS: Settings → Advanced → Stream Delay → Adjust sync offset
  • Check your audio device settings (48 kHz recommended)
  • Disable any audio processing plugins temporarily
  • Update your audio drivers
  • Try using a different audio source or device

  • Switch to hardware encoding (NVENC for NVIDIA, QuickSync for Intel, AMF for AMD)
  • Lower the encoder preset (faster = less CPU usage)
  • Reduce output resolution and bitrate
  • Close unnecessary programs and browser tabs
  • Disable Windows Game Mode or Game Bar
  • Run OBS/VirtualDJ as administrator
