Video Restream Server + AutoDJ Automation

Broadcast to multiple platforms simultaneously - Reach maximum audience!

Step 1: Download & Install VirtualDJ

  1. Visit ShoutcastNet Download Page and install VirtualDJ
  2. Launch VirtualDJ on your computer
  3. Click the Settings button (top right corner)

Step 2: Configure Video Broadcasting

In the Settings window:

  1. Click BROADCAST on the left sidebar
  2. Click VIDEO button
  3. At Stream To, select OTHER
Your Streaming Credentials:
URL:rtmp://restream.yourserver.com:1935/live
STREAM KEY:your_stream_key_here
Quality:LOW (you can adjust this later)
  1. Copy and paste the URL above into the URL field
  2. Copy and paste the STREAM KEY above into the Stream Key field
  3. Set Quality to LOW initially (customize later once working)
  4. Click START BROADCAST

If the button changes to STOP BROADCAST, you're connected successfully!

Step 3: Start Broadcasting

  1. Add videos to your VirtualDJ playlist
  2. Drag videos onto your decks
  3. Press play to start your video stream
  4. You're live on multiple platforms simultaneously!

Pro Tip: Configure your restream destinations in the control panel to broadcast to YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, and more at the same time!

Web Browser (Chrome/Firefox):

Virtual Worlds (Second Life, Alife Virtual):
  1. In your viewer, go to World → Parcel Details → Media tab
  2. In the Home Page field, paste:
    https://restream.yourserver.com/video/players/1935.php
  3. Drag your video stream texture (provided separately) to the Replace Texture field
  4. Rez your video display object in-world
  5. Click the Media button at the top of your viewer to watch

Uploading Videos to AutoDJ

  1. Open your web browser (Chrome or Firefox recommended)
  2. Go to your control panel URL above and login
  3. Click the MEDIA button
  4. Supported formats: OGG WEBM MKV FLV AVI MP4
  5. Option 1: Upload from your computer
  6. Option 2: Import from website URL
  7. Please be patient - the server processes each video with advanced encoding for best quality
  8. Move files to desired playlist: Default, Jingles, or Scheduled

Managing Your Videos

Click on any playlist to manage your content:

  • CHANGE NAME: Rename your video files
  • DELETE: Remove files permanently
  • DOWNLOAD: Download files to your computer
  • PLAY MEDIA: Preview videos in your browser
  • MOVE TO STORE: Archive files without deleting them

Starting AutoDJ

  1. Click HOME in your control panel
  2. Under Manage AutoDJ, click START
  3. Your video channel is now broadcasting 24/7 to all platforms!

Advanced Playlists

Click EDIT to enable:

  • Jingle Playlist: Insert video ads or station IDs between content
  • Scheduled Playlist: Play specific videos at certain times

Restream to Multiple Platforms

Broadcast simultaneously to YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and more!

Reach Maximum Audience

Configure each platform below to broadcast your stream everywhere at once. Your content will appear live on all configured platforms simultaneously!

YouTube Setup

  1. Go to your YouTube Studio
  2. Click Create → Go Live
  3. Copy your Stream Key
  4. In your ShoutcastNet control panel, click EDIT
  5. Paste the Stream Key in the YouTube field
  6. Click EDIT SERVER at the bottom to save

Facebook Setup

  1. Go to your Facebook page
  2. Click Live Video at the top
  3. Select Go Live
  4. Copy your Stream Key
  5. In your ShoutcastNet control panel, click EDIT
  6. Paste the Stream Key in the Facebook field
  7. Click EDIT SERVER at the bottom to save

Twitch Setup

  1. Go to your Twitch account
  2. Click your profile icon → Creator Dashboard
  3. On the left, click Settings → Stream
  4. Copy your Stream Key
  5. In your ShoutcastNet control panel, click EDIT
  6. Paste the Stream Key in the Twitch field
  7. Click EDIT SERVER at the bottom to save

Done!

Your stream will now broadcast to all configured platforms simultaneously. Visit each platform to view your live stream and engage with your audience!

Server Configuration

Customize your server settings:

  1. Login to your control panel
  2. Click the EDIT button
  3. Adjust available parameters for your restream server and AutoDJ
  4. Click EDIT SERVER at the bottom to save changes
